These days, there are tons of devices out there designed to help us capture the perfect selfie. But what’s better than a selfie? A selfie with your pet! Just like you treasure the time you share with your sweet pets, it’s nice to have photos to look back on and cherish those memories. Taking photos of/with your pets is a great way to document their growth and your time together. Plus, pet photos are great to share with friends & family or to look at when you’re away from your pups.
We all want to take great selfies with our pets, but the question is… how?
I’ve put together a list of 5 must-have tools for taking the perfect pet selfie. But first- let me share a few tips on how to get that picture-perfect shot with your dogs!
- Don’t try to get your dog to pose with you or sit a certain way. You should follow your dog’s lead and let them decide which direction they want to face. This is their moment!
- Hold your phone at the right angle. Eye level or just above eye level is usually the best. And don’t forget to get down on your dog’s level, so you both make it into the shot.
- Act quickly! Getting a great pet selfie is all about precision. If you take too long to make your move, your dog will look away.
- If it’s not happening, it’s not
happening. Always be willing to compromise- if your pet seems to be getting
frustrated or uncooperative, it’s probably best to put the camera away and try
again later. There will always be more opportunities to get the perfect pic!
