ABOUT US
Keila Torres
I am the creator of Sniffing for the Cure. I am a cancer surgeon and the mother of three Labrador retrievers. I used to be terrified of dogs until I met Stanley, a chocolate Labrador. Thanks to Stanley’s perseverance, unconditional love and patience, I was able to discover the secret healing power dogs can have in humans. I am a dog lover and advocate.
Secret Facts:
Favorite activity: Cuddle with one of my four-legged kids
Something unique: I always carry dog biscuits in my big tote. No wonder dogs come to say hello to me often…
Would you like to meet the team? EXECUTIVE PAWFFICERS
Stanley, CCP- Chief Communication 🐾Pawfficer
Hello! I’m Stanley. I am the key spokepup and media contact for this organization. I love to pose for a camera, especially when there is a hanging cookie above it. I am the voice of Sniffing for the cure. Occasionally, if I’m on vacation, I let my brother Albert or my sister Emma use my microphone.
Secret Facts:
Favorite activity: Provide my food tasting services to the cook of the house (grandpa).
Something unique: Most if not all the bow ties I wear belong to my human dad. I don’t think he minds.
Albert, CRP- Chief Research 🐾Pawfficer
Howdy! I am responsible for the research performed at Sniffing for the Cure. Part of our goals is to help you train your dog. All training advice has been vetted by my mom and us. Prior to sharing a training exercise or game with our audience, I ensure this training game has been fully vetted by a canine. If the training involves a tennis ball and a biscuit, I typically volunteer to be the first one to try it.
Secret Facts:
Favorite activity: I can dive 10 feet deep into the pool to retrieve tennis balls.
Something unique: I have a mighty nose- I can pick my favorite tennis ball even when it is hidden in a bucket containing multiple ones.
Emma, CIP- Chief Innovation 🐾Pawfficer
Woof, woof! I am the youngest of our family. I am only 3 years old but I am full of energy and creative ideas. As the innovation pawfficer, I am responsible for keeping things fresh at Sniffing for the cure. I’m constantly looking for new adventures. I am well known to make things more interesting. Thanks to my invigorating personality, my mom was forced to train with several dog trainers. I am constantly testing her patience. I am three years old but if you asked me, I would tell you I have the spirit of a 1-year-old puppy. I’m just like my mom, who is 25 years old and refuses to become older.
Secret Facts:
Favorite activity: I’m obsessed with water and love to swim
Something unique: I like to sneak in the shower when my human parents are not paying attention.
Lolo, 🐾Pawfessional Controller
Hi my name is Lolo and I’m Stanley’s, Albert’s and Emma’s cousin. I am a three-year old Labrador. As the pawfessional controller or chief accounting pawfficer, I control all biscuits given per employee. I also ensure everybody gets a fair amount of belly rubs per day.
Secret Facts:
Favorite activity: I like to sleep and play with big dogs like me.
Something unique: Lolo thinks he is a large dog like his cousins. We just don’t have the heart to tell him he is a pug.
